W. Andrew Boss Building

About the CAO

The PHA's W. Andrew Boss Building at 555 Wabasha Street North is conveniently located on the north edge of downtown St. Paul, directly across from the State Capitol.

The building houses the PHA's administrative offices for public housing and Section 8 including the rental office. Almost one quarter of the new building is rented to commercial tenants, generating revenues to supplement the PHA's federal housing subsidies. All of the commercial office space has been leased. The Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance (OEA) has chosen the PHA's W. Andrew Boss Building as an example of "Building Greener." The OEA develops brief case studies of new and renovated buildings in Minnesota to demonstrate real-world applications of sustainable building principles and strategies. Sustainable building involves a broad spectrum of choices about resource efficiency and pollution prevention. The result is buildings that are more economical to operate and maintain, healthier and more productive for occupants, and less burdensome on the environment. Click here for more information.
